Best Seller TV Talks Strategic Planning, Creativity and Being "Ingaged"

TV Personality Taryn Winter Brill Interviews Bob Caporale, Author of Creative Strategy Generation and Evan Hackel, Author of Ingaging Leadership, a New Approach to Leading That Builds Excellence and Organizational Success

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Nov 17, 2015) - Best Seller TV, an online business show on C-Suite TV featuring one-on-one interviews with best-selling authors, today announced its November lineup that includes Bob Caporale, author of Creative Strategy Generation, discussing how to compose a business strategy using creativity and Evan Hackel, author of Ingaging Leadership, A New Approach to Leading that Builds Excellence and Organizational Success, highlighting the difference between "ingaging" and engaging.

In Creative Strategy Generation, best-selling author Bob Caporale talks about creativity -- how companies can develop their business strategies using the same creative process used for songwriting and music. Caporale, an accomplished musician, encourages people to think outside the box and not be so 'academic' in their approach to business. In the academic world, people see things that have been done before whereas a creative endeavor is completely original and often springboards into something new. He wants to embolden people who don't think they're creative, a pet peeve of his, into thinking they are. People think of 'creative' as something artistic and not applicable to business. They couldn't be more wrong.

Caporale says that understanding your business objective is one key element for a successful strategy. Building a strategy is just a plan to meet an objective and that objective should always focus on the market and your audience. He reverts to his musical experience to further think about business strategy by creating the acronym ARIA: Analysis, Recollection, Intuition, Artistry. Caporale believe the Analysis answers the question, "Where are we now?" Recollection answers, "Where have we been?" Intuition answers, "Where are we going?" and Artistry answers, "How are we going to get there?" Creativity is always around us and it's not just about having the skills, it's about mastering those skills.

Evan Hackel is the author of Ingaging Leadership, A New Approach to Leading that Builds Excellence and Organizational Success, and the book is about how you involve people, inspire people and how to get the best out of the organization. He argues that sometimes people are engaged but not involved (the "I" of ingaged stands for involvement). Hackel believes in involving employees in the decision-making process by having managers listen and allow everyone to contribute ideas when the company is looking to incorporate changes. It's human nature to fight change, but if employees are fully engaged in the process, they tend to embrace the changes and move the company forward at a much faster pace.

Hackel also describes three main types of communication: evasive, conclusive, openness and honesty. Managers must recognize that employees are at different stages at different times; however, managers should not get caught being evasive as it erodes their leadership. Conclusive communication helps drive discussion, but the most important one is open and honest conversation. It's a game changer because it incorporates an idea instead of rejecting it, helping a company become a community where everyone is involved in the process.

All episodes will air throughout the month of November and will be hosted by TV personality Taryn Winter Brill.
