Beta Distribution to Accelerate Sales of FalconStor's FreeStor Across the UK

MELVILLE, NY and READING, UK--(Marketwired - October 03, 2016) - FalconStor Software^® Inc. (NASDAQ: FALC), a 16-year innovator of software-defined storage solutions (SDS), today announced its plans to strengthen its partnership with UK distributor, Beta Distribution. The move will see the 30-year-old technology distributor accelerate the sales of FalconStor's FreeStor platform with a goal to having storage accounting for over half of its business.

Beta Distribution is a strict 'Trade Only' distributor supplying a full range of technology products and related services to resellers and value added resellers (VARs). The London-based distributor works across all market sectors and has over 2,500 registered customers, generating annual revenues of over £200m. This makes Beta Distribution one of the largest IT product distributors in the UK.

"With data rapidly expanding, storage is in high demand and we have altered our business model to support this," said Tony Howard, Business Development Manager, Beta Distribution. "Our aim is to make storage account for at least half of our business by the end of this year and we believe an SDS layer such as FreeStor can drive this and help us meet customer demand."

Adding FreeStor to its portfolio has allowed Beta Distribution to offer a SDS platform allowing end users to migrate, recover, protect and de-duplicate data across the entire storage infrastructure regardless of vendor or location. Beta Distribution offers pre-sales project support, pre-configured NAS solutions, storage solutions, integration and test facilities that integrate with FreeStor for all its customers to ensure their storage space is catered for.
