SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 18, 2016) - Watch out New York City, Paris and Milan, because this Thursday, Betabrand and Zappos.com will host the second annual Silicon Valley Fashion Week?!
There will be drones. There will be robots. There will be incredible creations in wearable tech, 3D printing, fiber optics, future fabrics, and much, much more. It's a madcap mash-up of the worlds of technology & style that couldn't happen anywhere else.
Says Betabrand founder Chris Lindland, "Robots and drones will one day rule the fashion world. We offer them this runway as a peace offering."
Will Silicon Valley find its own sense of style? Find out October 20-22 at GANTRY, San Francisco's newest venue, smartly sandwiched between UBER & Twitter's Headquarters at 1425 Market Street.
Each night, the show kicks off at 8PM with over 20 designers -- including the unveiling of the "Smarthole Hoodie" by Pebble's Mark Solomon, human data-driven pieces by Switch Embassy's Allison Lewis, an augmented reality fashion demo led by Adobe's Dave Werner and world premieres from Joshua Hubert and more -- will be unveiled during the three shows:
- Thursday, October 20: "Step Into the Future"
- Friday, October 21: "The Most Photographed Show on Earth"
- Saturday, October 22: "Grand Finale + Costume Party"
Lindland encourages attendees to get ready for a show that is truly one of a kind, "All the insanity of the Internet hits the runway! The nucleus of the designs come from the Maker movement, wearable tech world, and Burning Man -- all of which make amazing contributions to costuming and popular culture, but lack a runway to call their own. We built one for them."
To attend, purchase tickets for $20 at www.betabrand.com/svfw2016 before they sell out. To inquire about sponsorship opportunities, contact email@example.com, and media passes are available by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org. See you later, innovator.
