betahaus media: Coaching by True Experts -- the 2016 EY Startup Challenge

BERLIN, GERMANY--(Marketwired - Jan 21, 2016) - Twelve weeks, seven teams and expertise from real industry insiders: applications for the 2016 EY Startup Challenge are now being accepted from young entrepreneurs with innovative business models and/or solutions in the IoT sector. The Accelerator program will get underway for the first time from March to June 2016 at betahaus in Berlin. It offers a select number of start-ups the chance to work with experts and hone their products, identify new market opportunities and establish contact with companies. The application deadline is January 31.

After wrapping up two successful programs in London, the EY Startup Challenge has finally come to Germany. EY has one clear goal: to bring young and adept founders together with established companies for the purposes of collaborating on the development of technology solutions for the future. "Industry 4.0 & Smart Services" is the motto of this year's event and is aimed at startups with products aimed at furthering the integration of industry and the digital world. The event seeks to attract innovative concepts that go beyond merely being a good idea: "Our participants must be able to present a proof-of-concept at the very least. We then work with them to refine the use cases and business model," explains project director Christian Neumann.

Together with EY, seven well-known German companies are taking part in the program and will serve as mentors for the teams of founders. This will give participants the opportunity to verify their solutions directly and make new business contacts. The teams can also look forward to an intensive lineup of events: the twelve-week Accelerator program includes workshops on special topics, meet-and-greet events as well as close cooperation with the mentors. The aim is to transform the product concept into a reality -- a true challenge requiring perseverance and a competitive spirit.

Betahaus Berlin offers the perfect working environment for the Accelerator program. Since 2009, more than 400 creative individuals have been coming here every day to work together.

The application deadline is January 31, 2016.
