Bexil Corporation Reports 2013 Financial Results, Announces Annual Meeting and Conference Call, and Announces Strategic Review


NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jul 8, 2014) - Bexil Corporation (PINKSHEETS: BXLC) today reported its financial results for the year ended December 31, 2013. Bexil recorded a net loss attributable to Bexil shareholders of $4,564,052 or $4.54 per share for the year ended December 31, 2013 compared to a net loss attributable to Bexil shareholders of $7,100,019 or $6.97 per share for the year ended December 31, 2012. The Company's book value per share attributable to Bexil shareholders at December 31, 2013 was $24.12, based on shareholders' equity attributable to Bexil shareholders of $23,698,968 and 982,245 shares issued and outstanding. 

Bexil announced today that its 2014 annual meeting of stockholders will be held at The Down Town Association, 60 Pine Street, New York, New York on August 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., local time, for the following purposes: to elect a director, to ratify the appointment of auditors, to approve the Company's 2014 Stock Incentive Plan, and to act upon any other business as may properly come before the meeting or any adjournment thereto. Stockholders of record at the close of business on May 16, 2014 are entitled to receive notice of and to vote at the meeting.
