Big Rock Brewery Income Trust: Local Organizations Working Together to Prevent Drinking and Driving

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 23, 2010) - Big Rock Brewery Income Trust (TSX:BR.UN) - T'is the season to be jolly, characterized by numerous holiday-themed events, which is why Big Rock Brewery, Associated Cab and the Calgary Police Service have come together for the fifth year to warn people not to drink and drive.

Starting Wednesday, November 24th, and extending through the busy month of December including New Years Eve, this city-wide campaign will remind consumers to act responsibly while enjoying the holiday "spirits" and not to get behind the wheel of a vehicle.

As part of the campaign, 500 posters and 20,000 coasters will be distributed to approximately 100 bars and restaurants in Calgary. Participants in these establishments are also working to remind their customers to make smart decisions this season. On each piece of promotional material, the Associated Cab phone number is prominently displayed on both the poster and the coaster to ensure the message is not only clear but that it helps the individual make the call to book a cab ride home.

On Wednesday November 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. MST, members of the media are invited to the launch of this campaign at the Calgary Police Service Traffic Section located at 6528 11th St. North East. Representatives of each organization involved will be at the availability along with the Check Stop bus and a vehicle that was involved in a fatal collision.
