Big Screen Entertainment Group Options New Screenplay by Award Winning Author and Filmmakers

HOLLYWOOD, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 7, 2011) - Big Screen Entertainment Group (PINKSHEETS: BSEG) has optioned the rights to a motion picture screenplay titled GIRL ZERO, devised by husband-and-wife filmmaking partners Eric Shapiro and Rhoda Jordan of Wildlight Entertainment, LLC.

The screenplay, which depicts an apocalyptic scenario in which the Earth's women are being destroyed, was penned by Shapiro from a story created by him and Jordan. The filmmakers' debut picture, a time-bending psycho thriller called RULE OF THREE, is being distributed by BSEG worldwide.

On the dawn of its release of BSEG's new film, SUCKER, a high-energy, comic-book-styled action movie about a mutated mosquito, Big Screen Entertainment adds another new title GIRL ZERO to a fast-growing list of exciting and energized properties.

BSEG is releasing the visionary vampire saga SODIUM BABIES, directed by France's breakout talents The Deka Brothers, on DVD and other platforms on October 18, 2011.

Also in current release via major DVD, streaming outlets and iTunes is the hard-hitting, award-winning action film by Richmond Riedel, TARGET PRACTICE, which examines homegrown terrorism by way of a tight, gripping narrative.

"Big Screen's in an explosive state," says Rhoda Jordan. "Their content is entirely on time and cutting edge. More importantly, it's an ethical company that looks out for its consumers and its employees. They've already made a big difference in our careers."

Jordan's partner, Eric Shapiro, authored a fiction collection titled STORIES FOR THE END OF THE WORLD (Permuted Press, 2010), which contains a wide assortment of acclaimed apocalyptic fiction. The motion picture GIRL ZERO, to be directed by the pair, will expand their footing in a genre that they already know well.

"The apocalypse is on everyone's minds, and we're seeing films and TV shows reflect that more and more," Shapiro says. "This story takes a new angle on some classic themes, and Producer/BSEG CEO Kimberley Kates has been working with us to maximize its impact."

The film is set to go into production before the end of 2011 for a 2012 release through Big Screen Entertainment Group.

GIRL ZERO will be produced by BSEG's Kimberley Kates as well as other BSEG personnel. The film will be directed by Eric Shapiro and Rhoda Jordan.
