Bigge to the Rescue... Again: Provides Crane Service for Bay Bridge Accident

SAN LEANDRO, CA--(Marketwire - October 30, 2009) - Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. was summoned to provide crane service earlier this week for the unfortunate San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge accident, just hours after the 5,000 pound steel eye-bar reinforcement saddle and two steel tie-rods fell down on the upper deck of westbound I-80 during the evening commute, damaging three cars.

Along with General Contractor MCM and Caltrans, we have been working around the clock with a 75 ton truck crane to help expedite the safe reopening of this crucial transportation link in the Bay Area.

Bigge has been the preferred crane service provider in the Bay Area for decades and has provided emergency crane services during the Loma Prieta earthquake and more recently, the fuel tanker explosion that collapsed the 580/880 freeway interchange.
