BigLever Execs to Address the Key Role of Product Line Engineering in Automotive Variant and Complexity Management at Smart Automotive Variant.con

Sessions to Spotlight Product Line Engineering Innovations for Managing Product Variation, Reducing Complexity Across the Automotive Engineering and Operations Lifecycle

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - November 03, 2015) - BigLever Software, the leading provider of Product Line Engineering (PLE) solutions, today announced that the company's founder and CEO, Dr. Charles Krueger, will present a session spotlighting "Feature-based Product Line Engineering and Operations (PLE&O)" at Smart Automotive Variant.con 2015. Additionally, Dr. Paul Clements, BigLever's VP of Customer Success, will moderate an Icebreaker Roundtable discussion, which will kick off the main conference program. Smart Automotive Variant.con is the leading international networking platform in the variant management field of the automotive industry. This year's event will take place in Berlin, Germany, November 12-13.

"Today's automotive manufacturers must address the growing need for a unified approach to variant and complexity management across the full automotive product family lifecycle -- from portfolio planning, to engineering, product management, supply chain, manufacturing, and all the way through sales and service," said Krueger. "Companies simply cannot achieve the necessary levels of efficiency, product line scalability, or quality when the various engineering and operations groups remain isolated from each other -- each with different variant and complexity management tools, processes, and methodologies. My talk will address how leading-edge companies are using innovative, holistic, feature-based PLE&O approaches to variant and complexity management, which are resulting in greater competitive advantage."
