Bio-Rad Receives Life Science Industry Awards

HERCULES, CA--(Marketwire - June 17, 2008) - Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. (AMEX: BIO) and (AMEX: BIOb), a multinational manufacturer and distributor of life science research and clinical diagnostics products, today announced that it was recognized by both The Scientist and BioInformatics, LLC, receiving two 2008 Life Science Industry Awards™ that were announced in June.

Since 2002, The Scientist, in conjunction with BioInformatics, LLC has recognized best-in-class companies in the life sciences in both product categories and customer communications and support categories. This year, Bio-Rad won in two categories: Image Analysis Systems and Instrumentation for Protein Analysis. Bio-Rad is a four-time winner in both of these areas.

Over 4,500 scientists from around the world were independently surveyed by BioInformatics, LLC. The thousands of participating scientists cast their votes for the companies they felt made the greatest contributions to life science technology in the past year.
