FREDERICK, MD--(Marketwire - Nov 29, 2011) - BioElectronics Corporation (OTCQB: BIEL) (PINKSHEETS: BIEL), the maker of inexpensive, disposable drug-free topical pain and healing devices, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Rawe, Ph.D. as its Director of Clinical Research.

Dr. Rawe obtained a Ph.D. in Biophysics from the Open University, Oxford UK studying wound healing and scar formation. After completing his Ph.D., Dr. Rawe spent 15 years conducting basic and clinical research at the Schepens Eye Research Institute, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Rawe brings expertise in designing and implementing clinical research studies and publishing peer reviewed research articles. As a former consultant for BioElectronics, Dr. Rawe published two clinical studies, documented BioElectronic's US FDA over-the-counter reclassification requests, and has designed and organized 6 new clinical studies to confirm and expand the therapeutic applications of pulsed electromagnetic therapy.

"I am delighted to take on this role of Director of Clinical Research with BioElectronics," commented Dr. Rawe. "I sense that the medical application of pulsed electromagnetic field therapy is about to become a widely accepted treatment for resolving pain and promoting wound recovery. A strong clinical program, which we are rapidly developing at BioElectronics, can only help in advancing the use of electromagnetic therapy with BioElectronics' innovative and affordable products leading the way. We are looking to continue to publish our completed research studies which in turn encourage greater interest and acceptance in the medical community. This is indeed an exciting time to be involved with BioElectronics."
