bioLytical Partners With Virgin Mobile Canada for the Test Your Commitment HIV Testing Campaign

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 16, 2007) - bioLytical Laboratories is proud to announce that Virgin Mobile Canada will be sponsoring the Test Your Commitment campaign this August. Test Your Commitment is a tri-city mobile campaign that will offer thousands of free HIV tests to Canadians in an effort to raise awareness and encourage HIV testing.

"bioLytical is thrilled to be working with Virgin Mobile on the inaugural Test Your Commitment campaign across Canada," says Matthew Clayton, bioLytical Chief Operating Officer. "As a global leader in HIV/AIDS advocacy and awareness, Virgin Mobile will play a key role ensuring we roll out a powerful campaign across Canada."

Beginning in Vancouver on August 10th and 11th, the Test Your Commitment mobile unit will embark on a cross-Canada campaign to raise awareness surrounding HIV/AIDS and the importance of an HIV test. The second stop will be in Toronto on August 17th and 18th, and finally in Montreal on August 24th and 25th (locations TBA).

"Globally the Virgin group of companies have made it a priority to help defeat AIDS/HIV," says Nathan Rosenberg, chief marketing officer, Virgin Mobile Canada. "Supporting the Test Your Commitment initiative is how Virgin Mobile Canada will bring this world challenge local and generate awareness through a non-conventional, grassroots campaign to educate Canadian youth about the importance and ease of HIV testing."

bioLytical is a Vancouver-based company that develops and manufactures the INSTI™ kit, a unique and simple-to-use test used in the diagnosis of HIV infection. At 60 seconds for a reading, it is by far the fastest HIV diagnostic kit in the world and the only one approved by Health Canada.

bioLytical will be donating the more than 5,000 INSTI™ HIV test kits that will be administered during the mobile campaign. In addition, bioLytical will publish a list of clinics and doctors in each city that offer INSTI™.

The campaign will also raise funds and awareness for UNICEF Canada's Unite for Children, Unite Against AIDS Campaign.

Test Your Commitment will bring much needed attention to HIV testing. To date HIV testing has largely been done behind closed doors and by shifting the perception of Canadians through its mobile campaign bioLytical hopes to demonstrate the role that rapid HIV testing can play in addressing the global HIV/AIDS pandemic.

About UNICEF Canada's Unite for Children campaign:

In 2006, UNICEF International launched the Unite for Children, Unite Against AIDS campaign both to draw attention to the scale on which AIDS has redefined childhood for millions of children and to mobilize increased global support for HIV/AIDS programs that serve children.

UNICEF International's Unite for Children, Unite Against AIDS campaign is the largest campaign ever mounted to bring the world's attention to the global impact of HIV/AIDS on children and young people. The campaign does not mark the beginning of UNICEF's work on behalf of children, but is an intensification and acceleration of its on-going programs and efforts to get children and youth in the protection and support they need at local, national and international levels.

UNICEF Canada's five-year campaign goal is to raise $25 million from Canadians to fund projects in priority countries in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. UNICEF is determined to put the missing face of children affected by AIDS at the centre of the HIV/AIDS agenda, and to make sure that the voices of children and youth are heard on the issues that affect them.
