Biopack Appoints New General Manager

HONG KONG--(Marketwire - August 17, 2007) - Biopack Environmental Solutions Inc. (OTCBB: BPEV) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr. C.F. Hui as the new General Manager of its manufacturing plant in Jiangmen City, China. Mr. Hui graduated from Shantou Industrial Technology College and has over 20 years of practical experience in industrial manufacturing.

Mr. Hui's past work experience includes being the General Manager (Business Development) of a high-growth company in Hong Kong since 1982, where he played a leading role in setting up 10 manufacturing plants and Sino-foreign joint ventures in a number of cities and regions across China. His expertise in industrial manufacturing was further demonstrated when his company was publicly listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in 1995.

Mr. Hui has shown his keen interest in environmental conservation through his direct investment in a "green" project called "Environmental Electronic Unleaded Welding Material" in 2004. This project served to relieve Lead (Pb) pollution in the environment by developing a lead-free Tin - Copper - Titanium alloy as a welding material for the electronics industry. Mr. Hui has also been a Director of the Foreign Direct Investors' Association of Shantou and Qinghai Cities. Given Mr. Hui's expertise in industrial manufacturing operations, sophisticated management skills, enthusiasm in environmental protection and extensive connections in China, he is a welcome addition to the Biopack team.
