BIOREM Announces $850,000 of New Orders in Ontario

GUELPH, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 18, 2007) - BIOREM Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BRM) is pleased to announce the receipt of an order in excess of $600,000 for the supply of an odor control system to be installed at the Mid Halton Wastewater treatment Plant in Halton Region in the Greater Toronto Area. The modular BASYS™ system will be used to control odors from the biosolids processing building.

Continued residential development on the western edge of Toronto requires additional infrastructure providing water distribution and sewage treatment. Residential encroachment on this wastewater treatment plant has necessitated provision for the management of odors that will be generated in the biosolids processing building. BIOREM's modular filtration system extracts the air from the building, strips the odors from the vented air and releases the air free from offensive odors.

In addition to the order for Halton Region, a separate order for approximately $200,000 was received for the Town of Tillsonburg, Ontario. This follows another earlier order in Ontario for approximately $180,000 received for a pumping station in Peel Region at the end of last year. All three installations have the common purpose to eliminate foul air emissions in their respective communities.

"Our odor management systems have gained widespread application across North America," said Peter Bruijns, President and CEO of BIOREM. "We are pleased to be able to apply our leading edge technology to provide enhanced quality of life here in our home market. Our biofilter systems are particularly effective in our Canadian climate where they can provide relief from odors under all weather conditions on a year round basis"
