BIOREM to Provide $1 Million Biofilter for New Composting Facility in Peel Region

GUELPH, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 9, 2005) -

BIOREM Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BRM) is pleased to announce that a new municipal organic composting facility under construction for Peel Region, Ontario, Canada will include a biofilter from BIOREM for odour control. A contract was awarded to the General Contractor by Peel Region which includes the installation of the BIOFILTAIR™ system. The $1 million biofilter installation will provide complete odour control to protect the environment and preserve the air quality in the surrounding community.

Organics composting is a key element of municipal landfill diversion programs and is a growing technology used to avoid trucking to distant landfill facilities and extend the useful life of current sites. Construction on the building that will house the organics composting system for Peel Region has already begun and the installation of the biofilter is to be fast tracked for completion in the spring of 2006.

"We are pleased to have our technology chosen for this application" said Brian Herner, President and CEO of BIOREM. "Composting applications are expected to become an important piece of infrastructure in all large urban areas to divert waste from shrinking landfills and we are excited about the growth prospects that these applications offer for our business."

Engineering of the biofilter system has been completed and the initiation of construction had been awaiting the signing of the contract between Peel Region and the General Contractor. Biofilter construction is now underway.

BIOREM® manufactures BIOSORBENS™ biofilter media and is a leading supplier of biofilters for air pollution control in municipal and industrial applications, including the recently acquired BIOCUBE® modular units. With over 400 installed systems and over a decade of experience, the company's biofilters are the technology of choice for odor control at Wastewater Treatment Plants across North America.
