BioSolar Adds Michael D. Wyrsta to Its Technical Team

Developer of Novel Materials Expected to Accelerate the Company's Development Efforts

SANTA CLARITA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 19, 2007 -- BioSolar, Inc. (OTCBB: BSRC), developer of a breakthrough technology to produce thin film, flexible solar cells on bio-based plastic substrates, today announced that Michael D. Wyrsta has joined the company's technical team. As a technical consultant, Dr. Wyrsta will assist BioSolar with the development of its new bio-based substrate.

Dr. Wyrsta has been part of several start-up ventures. Recently he served as a senior member of GRT, Inc., where his duties included the continued development of novel materials and catalysts for the conversion of natural gas to liquids and other chemicals. As the senior chemist, Dr. Wyrsta directed GRT's research and development efforts for a number of large customers in the chemical and petroleum businesses. He previously served as the Chief Technology Officer of SBA Materials, establishing strategic business contracts, guiding intellectual property development and breaking new ground in solid-state composite materials for the electronics, photonics and pharma industries.

Dr. Wyrsta holds a PhD in Materials from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
