Bishop Completes Drilling Program on the Lawyers Property

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 27, 2005) - Bishop Gold Inc. ("Bishop") (TSX VENTURE:BSG), listed on the TSX Venture Exchange Inc. (the "Exchange") under the trading symbol "BSG", is pleased to announce the completion of its 2005 diamond drilling program on its Lawyers Gold Project.

The Lawyers Gold Project is located 20 kilometres north of the Kemis Cu-Au porphyry mine of Northgate Resources Ltd. The Lawyers property is a low sulphidation sheeted gold-silver vein system which was mined by Cheni Gold Mines Ltd. in the period 1989-1992 with a production of 173,678 oz gold and 3,638,954 million oz silver.

The drill program was designed to test a large bulk tonnage epithermal gold silver target on the southern portion of the Cliff Creek gold zone.

Bishop cored a total of 845 meters (2800 feet) in five holes to depths of 50 to 320 metres with an average hole depth of 150 to 200 metres. Holes were drilled on three section lines spaced on 100 metre separations. Three holes were drilled on section line 500 North and one hole each were drilled on section lines 400 North and 600 North. Holes were drilled to the east at 50 degrees to 61 degrees to intersect the quartz breccia and stockwork zones dipping at 60 degrees to the west; true thicknesses are estimated to be 94-98 percent of drill intercept thicknesses.

Drill samples are being transported to the laboratory and will arrive on Friday, October 28, 2005. These results will be released as they become available.

The sampling procedure is to saw the NQ diamond drill core with half saved, and stored in a secure storage locker in Prince George, British Columbia, for reference. Samples for analysis were bagged and placed in sealed plastic buckets and transported by truck by company personnel from the site to ALS Chemex Laboratory in Vancouver for analysis. Samples are analyzed by fire assay and AA finish for 30 gram samples for gold and silver. All samples greater than 10 grams per tonne gold and 100 grams per tonne silver will be re analyzed by fire assay with gravimetric finish. All work on the project is under the direction of Mr. Gary Nordin, P.Geo., British Columbia, the designated Qualified Person for the Lawyers Gold Project in accordance with National Instrument 43-101.
