Bison Gold Resources Inc. Apex Property Update: Surface Mapping and Sampling Confirms Substantial Near Surface Gold Mineralization

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 27, 2010) - Bison Gold Resources Inc. ("Bison Gold" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:BGE) is pleased to announce initial results from their summer exploration program on the Apex Property located near Snow Lake, MB. To date, 161 samples have been received from the assay laboratory; of these, 88 samples returned assay values in excess of 1 g/t Au. Highlights from these initial results are tabulated below.

Sample   Type   Easting

The summer 2010 surface field program on the Apex Property was designed to re-evaluate the Apex Deposit and surrounding potential gold-bearing structures utilizing detailed structural mapping and modern geochemical techniques. These initial results confirm an extensive near surface fracture and structurally-controlled gold mineralized system over a surface area of 7 hectares.

"These initial results from the Apex Property are very encouraging and confirm substantial near-surface gold mineralization," stated David Benson P.Geo, V.P. Exploration for Bison Gold. "The results from the surface field program, in conjunction with the high resolution magnetics survey from 2009 and a forthcoming Induced Polarization (IP) survey will prioritize drill targets for an upcoming winter drill program. This initial phase of drilling will lay the foundation for a resource estimate on the Apex Deposit, test possible extensions along strike and at depth and test possible satellite deposits and mineralization proximal to the Apex Deposit."

Rock samples are placed, marked for identification and sealed in plastic bags at the sample location in the field. They are then organized at the company's facility in Snow Lake, MB and shipped to TSL Labs in Saskatoon, SK. Gold analyses are done using a 50g fire assay with AA finish. A gravimetric finish is employed where assay values are in excess of 3000 ppb Au. Screen metallics techniques were used on samples with visible gold. TSL maintains a strict quality control program with standards, blanks and duplicates included with every sample series. As well, standards and blanks are inserted regularly by Bison Gold personnel in to the sample series.

All exploration activities for Bison Gold are under the supervision and guidance of David C. Benson, P.Geo, and a Qualified Person under NI 43-101. Mr. Benson has reviewed the technical portions of this news release.
