Bison Gold Resources Inc. (Formerly Bison Gold Exploration Inc.) Files Technical Report (NI 43-101) on Its 100% Owned Central Manitoba Property

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 8, 2009) - Bison Gold Resources Inc. (formerly Bison Gold Exploration Inc.) (CNSX:BGE) ("Bison Gold") is pleased to report the NI 43-101 technical report (the "Report") pertaining to its Central Manitoba Property has been completed and filed on SEDAR (www.sedar.com).

The Report includes a review of the geology and exploration potential of the Central Manitoba property, as well as a report on the 4,100m drill program on the Central Manitoba zone between November, 2007 and March, 2008. The property includes two former operating mines, the Central Manitoba, which produced 160,034 troy ounces of gold during the period 1927-37 from 435,737 tons of ore for a recovered grade of 0.37oz/ton, and the Ogama Rockland, which produced 45,440 ounces of gold from 139,103 tons of ore for a recovered grade of 0.33 oz/ton, from 1948 to 1951. The Central Manitoba mine remains the second largest gold producer in the Rice Lake Belt, next to the much larger San Gold (San Antonio) mine at Bissett.

From a technical review, it is apparent that the Central Manitoba property lies in a geologic environment, which is similar to the San Antonio mine area at Bissett. Both properties lie adjacent to the Ross River pluton, though on opposite sides of the intrusion, in areas of high heat flow characterized by abundant felsic dike intrusion and numerous gold occurrences. As well, both the San Antonio and Central Manitoba veins lie within, or along the margins of, large concordant gabbro sills, with clear patterns of structural control.

Bison Gold undertook a (4,100 m) drilling program in 2007-08, designed to test a variety of targets along the Central Manitoba zone. These latter results are outlined in this report and include significant gold intersections on the Wentworth vein, Tene West area and Tene East area. Recent results include 3.1 g Au/t over a core length of 1.04m, 15.5 g Au/t over a core length of 1.91 m and 7.0 g Au/t over a core length of 2.79 m in holes CM-07-1, -2 and -3 in a section near the center of the Wentworth vein, which has now been outlined over a strike length of about 150 m and to a depth of 50 m. Drill hole CM-08-6, immediately west of the Tene mine cut 6.0 g Au/t across a core length of 2.98 m, while just east of the Tene mine, hole CM-08-4, returned 42.5 g Au/t over a core length of 2.43 m, plus 10.0 g Au/t over a core length of 3.04 m. The intersections in the area of the Tene mine are supportive of previous interpretations suggesting a shallow-southeast plunge to the mineralized shoots along the Central Manitoba structure.

The Report was completed by international mining consulting company Watts, Griffis and McOuat (WGM) pursuant to the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum Definition Standards for Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves, and in accordance with the standards of disclosure for mineral projects as defined by National Instrument 43-101.

The NI 43-101 technical report containing the above information for the Central Manitoba project was authored by Mr. William C. Hood (P. Geo) and WGM senior associate geologist, Andrew M. Chater (P. Geo), (an independent "qualified person" as defined by NI 43-101). Each have reviewed and verified the technical disclosure provided in this news release.
