Bivio Networks Appoints Former Force10 Networks Executive to Head Japan Operations

Networking Expert Koichi Hyodo Expands Bivio's Seasoned Executive Team

PLEASANTON, CA--(Marketwire - September 10, 2007) - Bivio Networks, the leader in high-performance network appliance platforms enabling the deployment of wire-speed, deep packet processing applications, today announced it has appointed Koichi Hyodo as its vice president of Japan Operations. Hyodo will build upon Bivio Networks' market leadership position and growth strategy by managing field sales and support in Japan. Hyodo will draw upon 16 years of experience in systems architecture and technical sales to drive Bivio's market expansion in Japan.

Hyodo joins Bivio Networks with 16 years of experience in the network infrastructure industry, having most recently served as technical sales director at Force10 Networks, where he managed teams in APAC, including Japan, China and Korea. Prior to Force 10, Hyodo worked for Juniper Networks and repeatedly spoke at seminars and events. Hyodo has also held numerous positions at NEC Software and was involved with designing and building multiple network projects. Hyodo earned a bachelor of engineering degree in electronic communications from the University of Electro-Communications in Tokyo, Japan.
