Bivio Networks to Present New Advances in Surveillance and Encryption for Security Networks at CommNexus 2007

SAN DIEGO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 13, 2007 -- Bivio Networks, the leader in high-performance network appliance platforms enabling the deployment of wire-speed, deep packet processing applications, will be presenting at CommNexus 2007 on March 15, 2007, as part of the organization's ongoing series of events designed to highlight communications innovation in San Diego. Kyle Rosenthal and Greg Ketell from Bivio Networks will present a session titled, "Preparing for Emerging Network Security Threats: New Surveillance and Encryption Approaches for the Evolving Network." Rosenthal and Ketell will discuss how today's networks are being transformed to protect against continually emerging threats as well as the delivery of new and enhanced security services. With the need to accurately manage, secure, and control network traffic at wire speeds, the network is evolving from a simple switching and routing medium to a policy enforcement engine requiring deep-packet inspection and real-time content processing.

Attendees will learn how Policy-Centric Networks are driving new requirements for high-performance packet-handling and encryption capabilities and will gain an understanding of the security network from the perspective of both threat detection and inspection. Rosenthal and Ketell will outline the current requirements for deploying processing-intensive networking applications and explain how open source technologies, and in particular Linux, is causing a fundamental technology shift in networking.
