Bivio Networks to Discuss Network Security at Technosium Conference

PLEASANTON, CA--(Marketwire - January 28, 2008) - Bivio Networks, the leader in high-performance network appliance platforms enabling the deployment of wire-speed, deep packet processing applications, today announced that Greg Kopchinski, senior product manager, Bivio Networks, will present, "Managing Security in the Clouds," on January 29 at the Technosium conference in Santa Clara, Calif.

Security in-the-cloud refers to security services that redirect traffic through a third-party in order to "clean" or stop bad traffic before it reaches its destination. Attendees will learn how in-the-cloud services are being increasingly embraced as an alternative to maintaining and upgrading traditional hardware and software, as well as becoming more readily available as network, Internet, and application service providers have begun to offer bundled security services as an add-on to their monthly subscription packages.

Kopchinski will address the use of emerging deep pack inspection and processing technology within the security in-the-cloud network infrastructure.
