Black Diamond Announces Remote Accommodation Development


CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Sept. 29, 2011) - Black Diamond Group Limited (TSX:BDI) ("Black Diamond" or the "Company") (TSX:BDI), a leading provider of remote modular accommodation and energy services in North America, is pleased to announce that, through its participation in the Black Diamond Dene Limited Partnership, it has secured a contract for the transportation, installation, rental and dismantling of a new, 264-person remote accommodation facility to support a major western Canadian producer's project in the Cordova shale play, three hours north of Horn River, British Columbia.

The total project is valued at over $16 million, including 36 month rental, and will feature Black Diamond's standard suite of premier sleeping quarters and a large central core with state-of-the-art recreation and dining facilities. Construction of the project will begin in October 2011, with complete turnover slated for January 1, 2012. The installation, transportation and dismantling operations will generate in excess of $6 million.

The capital expenditure for this project falls within the Company's 2011 capex budget.
