Blacksburg Home, Wooded Land to Sell in October 9 Woltz Auction

BLACKSBURG, VA--(Marketwire - September 10, 2009) - A 203-acre property known locally as High Knob will sell at absolute auction Friday, Oct. 9, with Woltz & Associates handling the sale. Located less than two miles from the Virginia Tech campus, it has a four-bedroom home that will sell along with a tract of approximately 66.28 acres.

The remaining land will sell in two tracts -- one of which is approximately 45.48 acres and includes the southern point of the mountain summit, High Knob, which has a peak elevation of 2,382 feet. The third tract, approximately 91.2 acres, is suitable for potential building sites. The property may also be purchased as an entirety.

The contemporary brick ranch house has an adjacent swimming pool and cabana. It features four fireplaces and five full baths. The living room and den have wormy chestnut paneling with hardwood floors.

The land has mature hardwoods with abundant wildlife and provides views of the Ellett Valley.

"With the property being sold in three tracts, bidders can bid on it in various combinations, including the entire 203 acres. This allows bidders to get exactly the combinations of land that they want. Some people may want to bid on the parcel with the home while others may want to invest in land to build on," said Jim Woltz, president of the auction company.

The auction will be held at 2 p.m. at The Inn at Virginia Tech. Inspections of the site will be held September 18, 25 and October 2 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
