Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza Celebrates First Pittsburgh Location With Free Pizza Giveaway

Nation's Leading Build-Your-Own Pizza Concept Opens Today in Monroeville; Will Offer Free Pizza All Day June 10

MONROEVILLE, PA--(Marketwired - Jun 9, 2016) - The wait is over! Blaze Fast Fire'd Pizza, the nation's leading fast-casual pizza concept, opens its debut location in the Pittsburgh area today -- and you're invited to get in on the celebration by treating yourself to a delicious, custom-built, free artisanal pizza.

The new restaurant is located at 3939 William Penn Highway, between Men's Wearhouse and Red Lobster. Monroeville diners can stop by anytime between 11 am and 11 pm on Friday, June 10 to enjoy one of Blaze's build-your-own, artisanal pizzas on the house. All you have to do is follow Blaze Pizza on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or Snapchat.

"You might think if you've tried one pizza, you've tried them all. But Blaze offers a one-of-a-kind dining experience that puts a completely new spin on one of America's favorite foods," said Phil Sero, Vice President of Operations for Blaze Pizza in Pittsburgh. "Pittsburgh diners will love our high-quality ingredients, healthy options and welcoming staff -- and you can't beat the price. We are proud to be a part of the Monroeville community and look forward to continued growth throughout the region."

Blaze Pizza is a modern day "pizza joint" that has been cultivating fanatics since it opened its first location in 2012. Each restaurant features an interactive open-kitchen format that allows guests to customize one of the menu's signature pizzas or create their own, choosing from a wide selection of carefully sourced, high-quality ingredients -- all for around $8. The generously-sized personal pizzas are then sent to a blazing hot open-flame oven -- the centerpiece of the restaurant -- where dedicated pizzasmiths ensure that the thin-crust pies are fast-fire'd and ready to eat in just 180 seconds.

Each restaurant makes its own dough from scratch, using a recipe developed by critically-acclaimed Executive Chef Bradford Kent (the "Pizza Whisperer"), which requires a 24-hour fermentation period to produce his signature light-as-air, crisp crust. For pizza fans with specific dietary needs, Blaze Pizza offers gluten-free dough and vegan cheese.

The authenticity of Blaze Pizza, along with its culture that focuses on the happiness of their guests and crew, has been the key to the concept's nationwide popularity and expansion. Blaze's close attention to detail extends well beyond the food, as seen by its carefully considered, modern approach to restaurant design. Award-winning design architect Ana Henton has added several unique, modern touches to the Monroeville location, including an oversized wall mural custom designed to suit the space. The concept first debuted in Pennsylvania earlier this year with the opening of a Philadelphia restaurant at Temple University. The Monroeville restaurant marks the first Blaze Pizza in the Pittsburgh market.

Driven by its commitment to "Intelligent Choices for Our Pizzas, People & Planet," the restaurant was constructed with recycled and sustainable materials, uses eco-friendly packaging and features energy-efficient LED lighting. The 3,075 square foot interior will include seating for more than 75, with an additional 20 seats on an outdoor patio.
