Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza Opens in Bowling Green, KY Today; Celebrates With Free Pizza Giveaway Tomorrow

Nation's Leading Build-Your-Own Pizza Concept Opens Near Greenwood Mall; Will Offer Free Pizza All Day May 24

BOWLING GREEN, KY--(Marketwired - May 23, 2016) - Bowling Green's dining scene is about to get even hotter! Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza, the nation's leading fast-casual artisanal pizza concept, is opening its debut location in Bowling Green, Kentucky today! Tomorrow, there will be lots of free pizza to celebrate.

The new restaurant is located at 2825 Scottsville Road, in front of Greenwood Mall. Stop by between 11:00 am and 9:00 pm on Tuesday, May 24 to enjoy a build-your-own, custom pizza on the house. All you have to do is follow Blaze Pizza on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or Snapchat.

Blaze Pizza is a modern day "pizza joint" that has been cultivating fanatics since it opened its first location in 2012. Each restaurant features an interactive open-kitchen style format that allows guests to customize one of the menu's signature pizzas or create their own, choosing from a wide selection of carefully sourced, high-quality ingredients -- all for around $8. The generously-sized personal pizzas are then sent to a blazing hot open-flame oven -- the centerpiece of the restaurant -- where dedicated pizzasmiths ensure that the thin-crust pies are fast-fire'd and ready to eat in just 180 seconds.

The concept, known for its custom-built pizzas, freshly made salads, blood orange lemonade and s'more pies, came to Kentucky in June 2014 with the opening of its first Louisville restaurant in St. Matthews. A second location opened at Louisville's Middletown Commons in June 2015, and a third restaurant debuted in Lexington, close to the University of Kentucky campus, later that year. The Bowling Green location marks the fourth location in the Bluegrass State.

"Blaze Pizza continues to expand its footprint in Kentucky with our newest location in Bowling Green. We encourage everyone in the community to join us on May 24 and give our one-of-a-kind pizza concept a try on the house," said Mike Niznik, Operating Partner for Blaze Pizza. "The free pizza will get you in the door, but our friendly staff, high-quality ingredients and affordable prices will ensure you become a life-long guest."

Each restaurant makes its own dough from scratch, using a recipe developed by critically-acclaimed Executive Chef Bradford Kent (the "Pizza Whisperer"), which requires a 24-hour fermentation period to produce his signature light-as-air, crisp crust. For pizza fans with specific dietary needs, Blaze Pizza offers gluten-free dough and vegan cheese. The Bowling Green location will also offer a selection of wine and beer.

The authenticity of Blaze Pizza, along with its culture that focuses on the happiness of their guests and crew, has been the key to the concept's nationwide popularity and expansion. Blaze's close attention to detail extends well beyond the food, as seen by its carefully considered, modern approach to restaurant design. Award-winning design architect Ana Henton has added several unique touches to the Bowling Green location, including an oversized wall mural featuring a corvette and an ode to nearby Western Kentucky University.

Driven by its commitment to "Intelligent Choices for Our Pizzas, People & Planet," the restaurant was constructed with recycled and sustainable materials, uses eco-friendly packaging and features energy-efficient LED lighting. The 3,500 square foot interior includes seating for more than 90, with an additional 25 seats on an outdoor patio.

The new Bowling Green Blaze Pizza is operated by Louisville-based Millennial Restaurant Group (MRG), which continues to develop the concept throughout Kentucky, Tennessee and Florida. The partnership consists of James Patterson Sr., Jim Patterson II, Ulysses (Junior) Bridgeman, Wayne Albritton and Collins Cogan.

MRG is also a partner in Lake Buena Vista LLC, which will open a Blaze Pizza location at Disney Springs, formerly Downtown Disney, in Orlando this July.
