BLiNQ Networks Launches Field Trials With Small Cell Backhaul Solution

Non-Line-of-Sight Solution Is Highly Reliable and Drives Down LTE Deployment Costs

PLANO, TX--(Marketwire - Apr 23, 2012) - BLiNQ Networks Inc., the pioneer in small cell wireless backhaul solutions, today announced that it completed two field trials; one with a tier one global mobile operator and another with a fixed access provider in Europe. Additional trials in North America and Europe are scheduled in Q2 2012. The trial results have confirmed that BLiNQ's solution is highly scalable, reliable and very cost-effective. BLiNQ will be showcasing their solution at International CTIA WIRELESS® 2012 conference being held in New Orleans, LA on May 8-10, 2012, at booth # 2560.

Because of the rapid increase in demand, mobile sites in urban environments are reaching their capacity creating coverage dead zones and capacity hotspots. Mobile operators cannot scale cell sites rapidly or cost-effectively with existing fiber and microwave backhaul solutions because they are too expensive to implement or may not be feasible in all locations. The BLiNQ solution is very flexible and allows carriers to deploy capacity easily wherever they need it without limitations and reuse their valuable access spectrum.
