Blizzard to Bliss: The Bahamas Talk New Non-Stops From Newark

New Vacation Express Flights From Newark to Grand Bahama Island Begin This Spring

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - January 27, 2015) - Just as everyone in the northeastern part of the country was preparing for the monstrous "Blizzard of 2015" this past weekend, The Bahamas Tourist Office spent some time at the New York Times Travel Show to promote Vacation Express' non-stop, all-inclusive vacations, taking flight this spring to Grand Bahama Island.

"The New York Times Travel Show is a great place to get a lot of exposure," said Dornell Dean, Sr. Business Development Manager for The Bahamas Tourist Office. "Having the ability to meet and talk with so many potential guests is great."

This year will be the second year that Vacation Express has offered all-inclusive vacations from Newark, which include exclusive, non-stop flights operated by Sunwing Airlines, and the first year that these all-inclusive vacations will be offered from Philadelphia. To celebrate the return to Newark, Vacation Express and The Bahamas Tourist Office are offering passengers leaving from Newark, New Jersey, an instant discount of $250 if they book their vacation before February 3, 2015 and travel to Grand Bahama Island before May 30, 2015.

Vacation Express all-inclusive vacations with exclusive non-stop flights begin departing from Newark on May 21 and new non-stop flights from Philadelphia to Grand Bahama Island kick off August 8, but the inaugural flight is filling up quickly, so travelers may have to book the next flight taking off August 13. These all-inclusive vacation packages with exclusive, non-stop flights will run through October 2015, however, they may be extended based on demand. Additionally, Vacation Express' all-inclusive packages are also available nationwide departing from other cities using scheduled carriers.

The Grand Bahama Island exclusive, non-stop flights with all-inclusive 4-night packages from Newark and Philadelphia are now available on VacationExpress.com. These flights will depart early morning and return late afternoon, allowing for maximum beach time. Each flight comes with Sunwing Airlines' amazing Elite Plus upgrade option, allowing passengers to have more legroom and up to 22 pounds of additional baggage and each non-stop flight gets passengers to the destination in about two hours.

"Vacation Express is growing at a significant rate in the tri-state area," said Kevin Hernandez, Vacation Express Vice President of Sales and Digital Strategy. "The amazing deals that we offer for our exclusive, all-inclusive vacation packages to Cancun, Punta Cana, Jamaica and Grand Bahama Island, makes us a price leader that can bring great value to travelers."

Vacation Express offers travelers seven resorts on Grand Bahama Island. Most choose to go all-inclusive where they pay one price and everything is included. Memories Grand Bahama Beach and Casino Resort is the most popular resort on Grand Bahama Island.
