Blockbuster Canada Launches Tsunami Relief Fundraising Drive

Customer Donations to be Forwarded Monthly to Canadian Red Cross Attention: Arts/Entertainment Editor, Media Editor, News Editor, World News Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 10, 2005) - Blockbuster Canada is encouraging its customers to prove that heroism doesn't just happen on the silver screen with the launch of a new donation program in support of the Canadian Red Cross tsunami relief efforts.

Effective today, Canadians can conveniently make a financial contribution of their choice when renting or purchasing any item at Blockbuster's 432 stores across the country. Each donor will be invited to sign their name on a "Tsunami Relief Tag" displayed in-store to showcase their generosity. Donations will be forwarded to the Canadian Red Cross on a monthly basis, and the program will be promoted to customers via special in-store signage and store staff at point of purchase.
