Blogging Leader Six Apart Sends Two Vox Members Around the World

Six Apart Changes Contest Winners' Lives With All-Expenses Paid Trip to San Francisco, Paris and Tokyo

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 1, 2007 -- Six Apart, the world leader in blogging software and services, today announced the winners of the Vox World Tour contest. Two members of the new Vox blogging service will travel on an all-expenses paid trip to cities where Vox was created: San Francisco, Paris and Tokyo.

The contest was developed to celebrate the launch of Vox, a free personal blogging service for sharing experiences with friends and family. From October 26th, 2006 to December 31st, 2006, members submitted posts detailing why they enjoyed using the service. The posts ranged from poems to photo collages, and were judged on content, originality and style. Kristen's winning essay illustrated the way personal blogs can bring friends and family closer together:

"Vox has not only brought me wonderful friendships and higher self-esteem, the confidence to express myself in words, Vox has brought me closer to my father. If I won, I would take my father. He's always looked out for me and loved me, even now when I am 1,000 miles away in another state, living my own life. He's never taken a trip in his life, always working hard instead to provide for those he loves. He's had dreams of traveling but he's never been able to because he's had to sacrifice instead for me. I would take my father, yes, without a doubt. He and I would travel the world and be close, as father and daughter. It would be a dream come true."

Because an important element of Vox is to create a life-changing place for personal connections, the second grand prize was awarded to Cate, the person who invited Kristen to join Vox. Both winners were Vox beta testers and are prolific bloggers.

The global Vox community will create a collaborative World Tour trip itinerary by sharing their own favorite activities and destinations in San Francisco, Tokyo and Paris. Vox meet-ups will also be held in each location to allow other members to meet the winners and celebrate the trip.
