BlogWorld Teams With BakeSpace.com's TECHmunch to Make Food Blogging a Top Focus at World's Largest New Media Conference

Food Bloggers Will Descend on Las Vegas October 14-16 to Get the Ingredients They Need to Succeed; BlogWorld's First Demo Kitchen to Be Built by Jenn-Air and KitchenAid

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - September 23, 2010) - BlogWorld is joining forces with BakeSpace.com's TECHmunch Food Blogger Conference to make food a primary focus at BlogWorld & New Media Expo 2010, which will be held October 14-16 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The new TECHmunch Track at BlogWorld will feature sessions and demonstrations designed specifically to help food bloggers learn how to develop great content, grow their audience and profit financially from their hard work. Jenn-Air and KitchenAid are also sponsoring an expansive demo kitchen for panels and cooking demonstrations from leading food bloggers and telechefs. TECHmunch attendees can get a 20 percent discount on their BlogWorld registration by using promo code "techmunch."

"Our goal is to help food bloggers learn while having lots of fun," said TECHmunch Creator Babette Pepaj, who founded Webby-nominated BakeSpace.com in 2006 as the Web's first food social network and recipe swap. "Bloggers who attend our Food Track sessions will take home the ingredients they need to make their blogs more rewarding -- both personally and professionally."

Pepaj added that there's no tolerance at TECHmunch for long-winded presentations that are off-topic or overly promotional. "I've attended many conferences that failed to provide useful, real-world information; I guarantee the TECHmunch Food Track at BlogWorld 2010 won't be one of them!"

BlogWorld Founder and CEO Rick Calvert said, "We're proud to work with the team at TECHmunch to launch our first-ever track for food bloggers. With an estimated 30,000 blogs now dedicated to food, it's a topic that warrants lots of attention." On a personal note, Calvert added that he can't wait to share his 'famous' recipe for salsa in BlogWorld's new demo kitchen.
