Fueled by millennials, who command over $1 trillion in annual consumer spending, the concept of the experience economy -- first identified in 1998 by Harvard economists B. Joseph Pine and James Gilmore -- is exploding. Research from Eventbrite suggests that when it comes to consumer spending, experiences trump things. The report explains, when given the choice, 78 percent of millennials would rather spend money on a desirable experience or event than buy a desirable object and that Americans, in general, increasingly value making memories over buying "stuff." It's not just experiential offerings that are on the rise, either; according to statistics from EventTrack 2015 by the Event Marketing Institute, 79 percent of brands surveyed increased experiential marketing spend last year as well (even when marketing traditional, non-experiential offerings).

Group Y Master Series: EXPERIENCE kicks off at 6 p.m. with networking, drinks and appetizers, followed by an Escape Room experience sponsored by EscapeX Rooms (limited to the first 25 who register), where groups race against the clock to solve puzzles and complete a given mission to escape.
