Ellen Oberman and Adam Kaplan Join as Vice President/General Manager of Brand Practice and Vice President of Client Services, Respectively


NORTHBROOK, IL--(Marketwire - Feb 29, 2012) - Blue Chip Marketing Worldwide, a global, full-service marketing agency, today announced the addition of two industry veterans to its executive team: Ellen Oberman as Vice President, General Manager of Brand Practice, and Adam Kaplan as Vice President of Client Services. This news follows a year of immense growth for Blue Chip Marketing Worldwide, including 55 new hires and new business wins with such high-profile companies as Farley's, Orexigen, Yo-Crunch, Kaz and PrimeSource.

About Ellen Oberman, Vice President, General Manager of Brand Practice
As Vice President, General Manager of Brand Practice, Oberman will be responsible for all clients within the company's Brand Practice area, specifically account management, retention, satisfaction and business -- building opportunities. As a member of the senior management team, she will oversee the Brand Practice account teams to ensure the quality of client deliverables, foster collaboration and encourage creativity internally and externally. She will report directly to Stanton Kawer.

Oberman brings more than 25 years of experience in strategic marketing and account management, with more than 20 years at DraftFCB Chicago where she started in the planning/research department and ended her tenure as an SVP, Group Management Director. She led accounts such as Kraft Foods, Applebee's and Weight Watchers. She then moved to DDB Chicago where she worked on State Farm and Morton Salt. She joins Blue Chip from McGarryBowen Chicago where she served as the marketing and communications consultant on Pfizer. Oberman received her B.A. from the University of Michigan, and her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

About Adam Kaplan, Vice President of Client Services
In the role of Vice President of Client Services, Kaplan will oversee the account management leaders who head up the company's practice areas, including retail marketing, healthcare and brand marketing. He is charged with implementing the account management process for the agency, which will include employee training, mentoring and development. Kaplan will encourage the account teams to work collaboratively and leverage various disciplines within the agency to present client business-building opportunities and agency-building initiatives. He will report to Kawer as well as COO, Lowell Cantor.

Kaplan brings more than 20 years of experience both in-house and on the agency side. He has previously served as Director of Integrated Marketing & Communications for companies such as Next Level Innovations Group, LLC; williampaid.com; and Gemstone Hotels & Resorts LLC. He also held various strategic and management director positions at agencies such as Sawyer Miller Advertising Chicago (IPG); Cramer-Krasselt Advertising; and Foote, Cone & Belding Chicago (now DraftFCB). Kaplan received a B.S. from University of Florida.
