Blue Coat Adds VP of Worldwide Channel Sales and Operations and SVP of Americas Sales and Field Operations to Drive Continued Growth

Channel and Security Industry Veterans Kurt Mills and Steve Tchejeyan to Bolster Channel Program and Field Operations

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 28, 2015) - Blue Coat Systems, Inc., a market leader in enterprise security, today announced it has further strengthened its organization with the appointment of Kurt Mills and Steve Tchejeyan. Mills has been named vice president, worldwide channel sales and operations; Tchejeyan takes on the role of senior vice president for Americas, Sales and Field Operations. Mills and Tchejeyan bring strong experience in building and upgrading channel programs and sales organizations that will drive revenue growth and extend Blue Coat's market penetration.

The addition of Mills and Tchejeyan follows the appointment of Michael Fey as president and COO. These new executives are part of the company's efforts to further drive revenue growth and build on Blue Coat's dominance in the secure web gateway segment to adjacent security markets. During the last three years, Blue Coat has experienced strong growth in the enterprise security market fueled by its expanded offerings for advanced threat defense.

Mills is re-joining Blue Coat at a time when the company is experiencing rapid growth and channel partners are benefiting from the momentum and broader product offering. As vice president, worldwide channel sales and operations, Mills will focus on building, expanding and deepening strategic channel relationships and ensuring that Blue Coat partners are successful. Reporting to Marc Andrews, Blue Coat senior vice president of worldwide field operations, Mills is responsible for field and channel partner-facing business operations and collaborating on strategy.

Prior to returning to Blue Coat, Mills was vice president of channel sales with Aerohive Networks where he developed its channel program structure, teams, systems and channel routes to market. Mills has over 25 years channel sales experience and has held executive channel management positions with Websense and McAfee.

Tchejeyan will partner to bring solutions to market while solving customer challenges and enabling customer success. He will oversee and manage Blue Coat's North American and Latin America geo sales and field operation teams. Prior to joining Blue Coat, Tchejeyan was with McAfee, where he was responsible for the general management of a more than billion dollar business, including the company's consumer, commercial, enterprise and public sector clients in the United States. Tchejevan drove overall business management, channel development, product guidance and their respective go-to-market strategies. Prior to running the US Theater, Tchejevan was responsible for building different segments driving consistent double digit growth within McAfee.
