Blue Line Protection Group Appoints Veteran SWAT Team Leader as National Training Director


DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - Jul 31, 2014) - Blue Line Protection Group, Inc. (OTCBB: BLPG) (OTCQB: BLPG), a leader in providing regulatory compliance, security consultation and protection services to high-value asset industries, today announced that retired sheriff's office sergeant and SWAT Team Leader, Grant Whitus, has joined the Company as its National Training Director.

Whitus served 26 years at the Jefferson County, Colorado Sheriff's Office and 17 years on its SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) unit, seven of which were as team leader. He will develop and lead Blue Line Protection Group's training program for all members of the Company's armored transportation team and security operators and will spearhead the development and implementation of the Company's National Academy for Protection Professionals.

Whitus has been a certified explosive breacher and a Colorado POST-Certified Instructor for the Law Enforcement Training Academy. He has taught several disciplines including officer survival, building searches, immediate tactical response to active shooter scenarios, and single-officer response to active shooters. Whitus has also trained law enforcement personnel in tactical driving maneuvers including the precision immobilization technique, responding to in-progress calls, close-combat techniques, and civil law for the patrol officer.

Whitus has received numerous awards for distinguished service, including five medals for valor and was one of the lead SWAT team members deployed at the Columbine High School shooting in 1999. Additionally, Whitus was the SWAT team leader who devised and executed a hostage rescue plan at Platte Canyon High School in September 2006.
