Blue Spark Energy President and CEO to Speak at PSAC Working Energy Investment Forum

O&G Companies Turn to Blue Spark Energy's WIRELINE APPLIED STIMULATION PULSING (WASP®) During Market Downturn

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - June 4, 2015) - Todd Parker, Blue Spark Energy President and CEO is one of the featured speakers at the PSAC Working Energy Investment Forum Q & A on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 2:20 to 3:20 p.m. at Calgary's Metropolitan Conference Centre (333 - 4 Ave S.W.).

Parker will speak about Blue Spark Energy's WIRELINE APPLIED STIMULATION PULSING (WASP®), an innovative, efficient, low cost, low risk, lower environmental impact oil and gas well stimulation technology that that assists companies in producing lower cost oil and gas.

According to Parker, "The current state of the energy market is a perfect opportunity to repair poorly producing wells, bringing them to optimal levels in preparation for an improved energy market."

Blue Spark Energy's WASP® technology converts, compresses and discharges electrical energy as usable high-power hydraulic pulses to improve connectivity between the well bore and reservoir - quickly, safely and efficiently. The technology can be used as a stand-alone treatment or to complement other remediation methods, whether chemical or mechanical.

"We are finding in today's changing energy market that more and more oil and gas companies are truly looking at new ways to do business more efficiently," says Todd Parker, Blue Spark Energy President and CEO. "This includes transformative opportunities to apply new technology such as what Blue Spark has to offer."

The company's WASP® technology has enhanced oil flow in new or poorly producing wells, recovered reserves from non-producing wells, and increased flow in injector and disposal wells in more than 300 projects around the world.

Also crucial in today's energy industry is WASP® technology's lower environmental impact, efficiency and cost effectiveness. The technology uses no water, chemicals or explosives, maintains wellbore integrity, and delivers rapid, high-power impulses at the precise depth where blockages exist.

The WASP® technology equipment is compact and only requires one technician to operate, allowing most operations to be completed within one day.

Established in 2011, Blue Spark Energy is a privately-held company based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Since its inception, more than 50 companies around the world have successfully used WASP® to stimulate productivity in more than 200 oil wells. The company was named after the "blue spark" that occurs within the WASP® tool when the physical pulse is activated.

Blue Spark Energy is a finalist in the June 9th Global Petroleum Show Awards Environmental Innovation Award category. Blue Spark Energy is also a finalist for the June 24th, 2015 Canadian Oil & Gas Awards in the categories of New Technology Development of the Year and Environmental Award for Excellence in Environmental Stewardship.
