BETHESDA, MD--(Marketwired - November 03, 2014) - RADM (Retired) Robert O. Wray, Jr. announced today The Blue Star Veterans Network is live and operational with intent of improving the lives of aging veterans. The Blue Star Veterans Network integrates hardware, software, processes and a human monitoring/assistance team to help vets and their families live free and independently. The full list of Blue Star Veterans Network products and services can be viewed by viewed at www.BlueStarVets.US/store.

The signature product, The Blue Star Service Watch, is one of the many available services that are now offered. The watch is an attractive everyday item utilizing today's technologies that provides help to veterans in need by automatically calling a 24 hour/7 day-a-week monitoring center. The monitoring center will provide whatever assistance is required -- from calling a family member to reaching out to 911 for medical emergency. Blue Star's unique patent-pending service suite integrates multiple technologies including wearables in a simple manner that makes sense to the six million American veterans over the age of 70 years old.

The company focuses on the veteran -- as The Blue Star Veterans Network is owned by veterans, services veterans and employs veterans. In addition, they have implemented a "20% Giveback" program that donates profits to veterans, particularly homeless veterans.

"Blue Star will be dedicated to providing our veterans -- the real heroes of our country -- comfort and independence as they continue to age," stated Wray. "Our dedicated Blue Star team will strive to provide a first-class service for both vets and their family members, with the hope that they can continue to enjoy their lives on a daily basis."

Wray, a 1979 Naval Academy graduate, is the CEO of The Blue Star Veterans Network. He served as a nuclear engineer on surface ships and later enjoyed a varied civilian career. Wray also authored the widely respected leadership book, Saltwater Leadership.
