BlueArc Earns Certified Partner Status in Microsoft Partner Program

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - October 27, 2009) - BlueArc® Corporation, a leader in scalable, high-performance unified network storage, today announced it has earned Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program, which recognizes BlueArc's expertise and impact in the technology marketplace. As a Certified Partner, BlueArc has demonstrated expertise with Microsoft technologies and proven ability to meet customer needs. Microsoft Certified Partners receive a rich set of benefits, including access, training and support, giving them a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

BlueArc offers a range of scalable, high-performing network storage hardware products that support both traditional network attached storage (NAS) and storage area network (SAN) services on a converged network platform. With a comprehensive suite of software functionality, BlueArc helps customers optimize the performance capabilities of its Titan and Mercury storage solutions through added functionality for data protection, data management, virtualization and system management. BlueArc customers benefit from lower total cost of ownership with improved productivity and efficiency derived from high data throughput, storage consolidation and the reduction of costs through simplified management.

"Only companies that have demonstrated high levels of customer service, proved their experience and attained advanced certification receive the designation of Microsoft Certified Partner," said Allison Watson, corporate vice president of Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. "Today, Microsoft recognizes BlueArc for its skills and expertise in providing customer satisfaction with Microsoft products and technology."

As one of the requirements for earning Certified Partner status, BlueArc has declared a Microsoft Competency. Microsoft Competencies are designed to help differentiate a partner's capabilities with specific Microsoft technologies to customers looking for a particular type of solution. Each competency has a unique set of requirements and benefits, formulated to accurately represent the specific skills and services that partners bring to the technology industry.

The Advanced Infrastructure Solutions Competency is designed for partners that specialize in infrastructure solutions such as storage and systems management; this competency provides the information, tools, and support customers need to help expand their business. Specializations within this competency include Microsoft Active Directory, Storage Solutions, Systems Management Solutions, and Windows Desktop Deployment.

"We are extremely pleased to have earned Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program, as it showcases our expertise and dedication to building a relationship with Microsoft for our customers," said Cameron van Orman, senior director of worldwide channel sales and partner marketing. "The benefits provided through our Certified Partner status will allow us to continue to enhance our offerings and services that extend our customers' technology investments."

The Microsoft Partner Program was launched in October 2003 and represents Microsoft's ongoing commitment to the success of partners worldwide. The program offers a single, integrated partnering framework that recognizes partner expertise, rewards the total impact that partners have in the technology marketplace, and delivers more value to help partners' businesses be successful.
