Bluebox Security Taps Scott Sinatra to Lead Sales Team

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 8, 2014) - Bluebox Security, the mobile data security company, today announced that Scott Sinatra has joined the company as Vice President of Sales. Sinatra will lead the sales team to expand product adoption and drive the next phase of growth for Bluebox.

Sinatra brings over 20 years of sales leadership and executive management experience to his role as Vice president of Sales for Bluebox. Prior to this role, Sinatra served as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales at Glassdoor.com, where he led the early customer acquisition, support, and monetization execution strategy to increase bookings growth by 900 percent in two years. Previous to Glassdoor, Scott held senior sales leadership positions at BMC Software, BladeLogic (acquired by BMC), Moser IT Consulting, Datalink, and Parametric Technology Corporation. Sinatra holds a B.S. in Sports Management and Marketing from Indiana University.

"Demand for mobile data security has never been greater, yet the BYOD and BYOA trends require new innovative solutions that shift focus from devices to data and apps," said Caleb Sima, Founder and CEO, Bluebox Security. "Scott's track record of successful sales execution in disruptive markets, as well as his competitive nature professionally, and personally as an Ironman triathlete, make him the ideal candidate to lead our sales organization."

According to Gartner, "By 2017, 70 percent of mobile professionals will conduct work on personal, smart, mobile, devices using at least one form of application containment."1 Unsecured, these devices pose a huge risk for corporate data. Bluebox addresses this issue by providing enterprises with visibility, control and security, without forgoing app or device freedom for the employee.

"Bluebox was founded by visionaries who recognized a market need for a mobile security solution that protects corporate data without inhibiting users," said Scott Sinatra. "I have always been attracted to companies with disruptive solutions and Bluebox is no exception. I am excited to join such an innovative company and team as they pioneer a new category of mobile security."
