BlueCat Networks Puts IPAM into Perspective at Interop Las Vegas 2006

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 5, 2006) -

Seminar to highlight the role of IPAM in addressing the needs of global enterprise networks

BlueCat Networks today announced that company co-founder and CTO, Richard Hyatt, will be presenting a seminar on IP Address Management (IPAM) at Interop 2006 in Las Vegas. The seminar titled "IP Address Management - Command and Control Your Networks" is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 3 in Mandalay Bay L from 8:00am to 9:45am and again at 10:15am to 12:00pm. Hyatt, one of the networking industry's leading technology visionaries, will provide insight into the role of IPAM in supporting the needs of enterprise networks as businesses deploy next generation applications such as VoIP, RFID, IPv6, and work to comply with the demanding requirements of regulatory policies.

"There is still a great deal of confusion about what IPAM really is about," said Hyatt. "Many point-based DNS and DHCP solutions that have served smaller networks do not provide adequate scalability, manageability, control and audit for evolving, distributed corporate networks. This session will cut through the hype surrounding this issue and educate network administrators on how an effective IPAM solution implementation can improve operational efficiencies and dramatically lower the total cost of ownership for larger, geographically dispersed enterprise IP networks."

Issues Hyatt will address include:

- The challenges facing administrators tasked with managing large, geographically dispersed networks

- What role DNS and DHCP play in deploying next generation applications

- Why enterprise organizations are looking to adopt appliance-based IP address Management solutions

- What differentiates an end-to-end IP Address Management solution from a point-based solution

- How IP Address Management can reduce total cost of network ownership and drive a strong return on investment

- Recognizing the necessity for highly reliable and scalable IP network infrastructure

Hyatt is the visionary guiding the product development teams at BlueCat Networks. As the driving technical force behind BlueCat's innovative technology, he has applied his extensive expertise in multiple programming languages, system design and application targeting for multiple operating systems to the BlueCat portfolio of products. Under his direction, BlueCat continues to develop world-class network integration and security appliances that are used by vital organizations and classified government agencies around the world. In 2005, Richard was a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
