BLUEGA pieOS Brings Touch Interface to Web

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - Apr 20, 2012) - HTML5 developer BLUEGA today released pieOS, an HTML5-based, touch interface-enabled personalized portal website, at DEMO Spring 2012. With features like icons, folders, widgets and wallpapers, pieOS looks and works just like any smartphone screen. Using touch interface, pieOS lets users to organize their favorite pages with icons and folders. The user setting is then stored in the cloud so it can be easily managed across mobile devices, including PC, smartphones, tablets, etc.

"pieOS provides a truly cross-device new user experience of browsing the web," says Sechul Hong, CTO and co-founder of BLUEGA. "pieOS is developed with standard HTML5, so it runs on any device and any browser using one source, without requiring synchronization or conversion -- and the struggle of managing client programs for each device."

"Web is now being built around applications and extensions," remarked Matt Marshall, executive producer of DEMO, "but it requires a more personal, cross-device web environment for web-app development so they can be more easily recognized and widely used as mobile applications." With pieOS, BLUEGA has high hopes of providing a diverse new ground of user experience for web-apps and cloud contents.
