Blueprint Events and Live Nation Announce Western Canada's Largest Ever Electronic Concert to Play the BC Place Floor on Boxing Day

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 11, 2012) - Blueprint Events, in partnership with Live Nation Canada, is pleased to announce CONTACT powered by Rogers, a ground-breaking event at BC Place in Vancouver on December 26, 2012, featuring the return of leading Canadian electronic artist, Deadmau5 Unhooked. This will be the first electronic dance music event ever held at BC Place and will be the largest to happen in Western Canada.

The CONTACT powered by Rogers announcement is set to make waves across the electronic music industry and EDM fan base in Western Canada. Conceptualized and produced by Blueprint Events, the show will be the largest ever undertaken by the company. The ambition is to bring an event of unprecedented magnitude to Vancouver and fulfills the desire to grow and push the boundaries of the electronic music scene.

CONTACT powered by Rogers featuring Deadmau5 Unhooked will serve as the first-ever electronic event to headline BC Place stadium, which only opens its doors to top tier music events. The performance by Deadmau5 Unhooked will put him in the ranks of fellow stadium performers Madonna, Roger Waters, U2, and Paul McCartney.

Deadmau5 Unhooked, also known as Joel Zimmerman is a wildly popular Canadian electronic dance music producer, performer and three-time Juno Award winner. He has played to large crowds in Vancouver before, including multiple arena events for Blueprint and a LiveCity event during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics for a crowd of over 8,000, which was produced by Live Nation.
