BlueShift Technologies and Hirata Corporation Agree to Jointly Develop and Market Advanced Equipment Front End Modules (EFEMs) and Vacuum Automation for Semiconductor Production

ANDOVER, MA--(Marketwire - July 17, 2007) - BlueShift™ Technologies, manufacturer of the QuickLink™ wafer processing platform with innovative linkable linear geometry, today announced a definitive agreement with the Hirata Corporation of Japan to jointly develop EFEMs with Hirata components and BlueShift Technologies' controls and software to be marketed as QuickStart™ EFEM. As part of the agreement, Hirata will market the QuickStart™ EFEM product in Japan and BlueShift will market QuickStart™ EFEM with its QuickLink™ vacuum automation as well as other Hirata products outside of the Japanese market.
