Bluespring Software Announces General Availability of BPM Suite 4.5; the People-Centric BPM Software for the Microsoft Office 2007 System

CINCINNATI, OH -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 30, 2007 -- Bluespring Software, the Business Process Management (BPM) software company that puts the power of business process design, execution and management in the hands of business people, announces the general availability of BPM Suite 4.5. The new release expands the number of things a business person can do with little to no involvement from IT and reinforces Bluespring's market leadership around ease-of-use and process agility. Technical highlights include:

Office 2007 Integration

Dynamically create Excel 2007 files, Word 2007 documents and InfoPath 2007 forms with any data moving throughout the process, including reading from Excel, Word, InfoPath, Adobe PDF files, ODBC-compliant databases and Web Services.

WSS 3.0 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Integration

Leverage Bluespring Web Parts to embed work list management, process monitoring & reporting inside SharePoint pages. Trigger processes off of SharePoint events and actions on any SharePoint entity. Use the Excel Calculation Service to manipulate Excel documents directly on the SharePoint Server, resulting in a viable rules & calculation engine for your business.

PDF Form Support

Dynamically populate or extract information from standard PDF Forms to seamlessly flow data between applications and document formats.

SQL Reporting Services Adoption

BPM Suite now leverages SQL Reporting Services for its business intelligence components, providing a richer & more cost effective means to deliver user and activity metrics about the process.

Expanded "in-flight" Process Editing Capability

Realize true process agility by being able to edit/change to "in-flight" processes resulting from unexpected business cases without requiring code changes, server restarts or needing to wait for all "in-flight" processes to complete. Bluespring's Interpretive XML approach to process execution brings this capability that code-generating technologies cannot perform.

"Bluespring is one of the first people-centric BPM technologies to realize the significance of XML-based architecture," said Karl Treier, Chief Technology Officer of Bluespring Software. "Just last month, Forrester Research praised integration-centric BPMS technologies that are XML-based in its December 2006 Wave Report. The agility made possible by this approach is even more compelling in human workflow where changes, updates & exceptions occur in greater frequency."

Bluespring's BPM Suite is 1 of 2 Microsoft Gold Partners whose software products are being featured in the Microsoft Office 2007 launch kit being provided to attendees at each of the 75 launch events across North America. To find a launch event near you, please click on the link below:
