NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Sep 10, 2012) - Bluewolf, the global consulting firm, today announced the expansion of its operations in Sydney and Melbourne with the strategic acquisition of award-winning Australian leading customer engagement consultancy Velteo. The move will enable Bluewolf to deliver consulting and cloud managed services to a combined portfolio of Australian and global brands who want to take full advantage of delivering global cloud transformation and customer experiences using mobile, social and cloud solutions.
Eric Berridge, co-founder and principal, said: "Today's businesses are moving at warp speed to penetrate new markets and to engage with customers. We worked closely with salesforce.com's leadership team to identify Velteo as the ideal candidate to provide global clients with enterprise services. Our global reach assures that we can deploy local teams of consultants that operate under a single umbrella and bring global best practices across cultural and geographic boundaries."
Bluewolf also announced that Velteo's co-founder, Jamie Pride, will assume the position of Managing Director, Australia. Prior to running Velteo, Pride held the position of VP Services at salesforce.com and was a partner of Deloitte Australia's CRM practice. In total, he brings over 18 years industry experience to Bluewolf, having worked for innovative technology companies locally and internationally. Bluewolf's local presence will be underpinned by the existing Velteo team including co-founder Con Georgiou and Frank Cuiuli. Velteo had grown to become one of the top three strategic salesforce.com partners in Australia and a leader in customer service transformation.
Velteo will be reporting to Bluewolf International General Manager, Sue Goble. Before heading up Bluewolf International, Goble served in Vice President roles at C3, salesforce.com and Siebel Systems. Bluewolf is one of only three global pure play vendors in the cloud and salesforce.com market.
According to analyst firm Frost & Sullivan, business agility, increased standardization of IT infrastructure and the ability to lower overall IT costs are driving the adoption of cloud computing among enterprises in Australia. This is supported by research from analyst firm Telsyte, that claims about 35 percent of Australian enterprises are subscribing to some type of cloud service.
Goble said: "Keeping ahead of the explosive demand for cloud services globally and locally, we felt this was the right time to expand Bluewolf's presence in Australia. We are also glad to have Jamie leading this move and supporting our teams and customers. He brings an expertise and experience to the table that perfectly matches Bluewolf's DNA and business culture and will enable us to establish and grow rapidly in this exciting new geography."
Newly appointed Managing Director, Jamie Pride said: "Australian businesses have clearly demonstrated their appetite to adopt and embed new technologies into their workflows quickly, as they rely on cloud services more than ever to deliver against their bottom line."
