Bluewolf Launches Job Search Coaching Service for IT Professionals

Offers Key Tips for Technology Job Seekers

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - February 18, 2009) - As the number of new claims for state unemployment benefits surged to their highest level since 1982 -- reaching 626,000 in January, IT professionals are feeling the impact of the economy. To assist out-of-work IT professionals, Bluewolf today launched a job search coaching service called Bluewolf Career Coach that will be offered free to the first 200 technology professionals from March 2-19. Bluewolf (www.bluewolf.com) is a leading provider of IT resourcing, Remote Database Administration and Software as a Service consulting services.

As part of the Bluewolf job search coaching service, IT professionals will receive one-on-one coaching from a senior Bluewolf Resource Manager to assist with: resume optimization; market analysis of relevant IT hiring opportunities and interviewing tips. In addition, the service will help educate job seekers to fully take advantage of the new generation of job boards.

"The technology market will not receive a bailout from Congress. It is our responsibility to come together and help each other through these tough times. This free service to help IT professionals with their job searches leverages our many years of IT staffing experience," said Michael Kirven, cofounder and principal of Bluewolf. "In this incredibly challenging job environment, we advise candidates to stay positive in their search and be responsive to any interview opportunities."

In addition, the experts at Bluewolf offer these tips for IT job seekers:

-- Take advantage of the many job boards, including LinkedIn,
Monster.com, and Dice.com, as well as the niche job boards in a specific
area of expertise, such as media or financial services.
-- Develop a concise, well-written resume that includes comprehensive
contact information, including cell phone number, email, etc. Customize
your resume for each target job.
-- Make sure that your resume is optimized for your specific skills, such
as MySQL or Open Source. This will ensure that your resume will be included
    in automated candidate searches.
-- Continue to network among your peers to find hidden job opportunities,
as there any many job openings that are not publicly posted.
