VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - May 2, 2014) - For the ninth year, BMO Bank of Montreal is the title sponsor of the BMO Vancouver Marathon - a family-friendly event with both local and international participation and an expected 90,000 spectators.
Since its inception, Team BMO employees have participated in the Vancouver Marathon, not only as runners, but also as proud volunteers. This year there will be 210 volunteers and 90 runners or walkers on Team BMO. This is the third year of the Full and Half Marathon point-to-point courses from Queen Elizabeth Park in South Vancouver, through cherry tree-lined residential streets, along the Stanley Park seawall and ending in the heart of downtown. The BMO Vancouver Marathon has become a world-class experience for runners and spectators, showcasing the city's renowned waterfronts, landmarks and coastal mountains.
The BMO Kids' Zone returns this year at the Finish Line Street Festival on Hastings Street and a sold-out Kids 1-Mile Fun Run through Stanley Park on Saturday, May 3 will see kids between 6 and 12 years old participating.
