NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 9, 2007 -- BNP Paribas is pleased to announce the opening
of a Private Wealth Management branch in Washington, D.C. Charles Nelson,
Senior Vice President, will manage the new office and will report to Seno
Bril, chairman of BNP Paribas Investment Services which is headquartered in
Miami and focuses on servicing non-US high-net worth individuals.
Charles joins BNP Paribas after a 26-year career as senior international
executive in wealth management at Bank of America. He will be assisted by
Nora Ipsen and Nicola O'Neil, both formerly of Bank of America.
Commenting of the branch opening, Seno Brill said, "With our growing
success in the coverage, from Miami, of high-net worth clients mostly in
Latin America, this new Washington, D.C. office will allow us to add
service to a number of European clients who use the Nation's capital as

The office will formally open on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 and will be
located at 1050 Connecticut Avenue NW, Suite 1000, Washington, D.C. 20036.
