Bob Cochran Appointed Director of Development of The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute in Washington, D.C.

SIMI VALLEY, CA--(Marketwired - May 10, 2016) -  The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation has announced the appointment of Bob Cochran as the Director of Development for The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute to be located in Washington, D.C. Mr. Cochran will focus his efforts on raising funds for the Reagan National Defense Forum held annually at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, CA as well as for the new Reagan Foundation and Institute mission in Washington, D.C.

"Bob has been working with us for three years as the co-founder of the Reagan National Defense Forum and having him as part of our full time staff will only strengthen our Foundation further," said John Heubusch, executive director of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute. "His vast experience in public service and philanthropy is a tremendous asset to our team."

Prior to his appointment at the Reagan Foundation, Mr. Cochran spent over thirty years in the government and private sector, including Senior Partner at McKeon Group, Chief Operating Officer for Porter Gordon Silver, and Chairman Buck McKeon's Chief of Staff for twenty years. As one of Chairman McKeon's key advisors, Mr. Cochran was active in key policy areas of national security and defense along with education and workforce issues.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation is a non-profit, non-partisan organization which sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, the Ronald Reagan Institute, the Center for Public Affairs, the Presidential Learning Center and The Air Force One Pavilion. Located in Simi Valley, California the Library houses over 55 million pages of Gubernatorial, Presidential and personal papers and over 40,000 gifts and artifacts chronicling the lives of Ronald and Nancy Reagan. It now also serves as the final resting place of President and Mrs. Reagan.
