Bois Francs D. V. Receives Financial Support from Government of Canada

FASSETT, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 29, 2013) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced that the company Les Bois Francs D. V. Inc. has been granted financial assistance for the purchase of computer and manufacturing equipment.

"By helping Bois Francs D. V. with the acquisition of technology, our Government is once again showing its commitment to investing in projects that ensure economic growth," said Minister Lebel.

Founded in 1992, Bois Francs D. V. specializes in all stages of hardwood processing, from lumber milling to quality control. Based in the Outaouais municipality of Fassett, the enterprise, which employs 20 people, exports its products to Europe, Asia, South America and the United States.

The financial assistance from Canada Economic Development will enable the company to boost its productivity and competitiveness through the acquisition of a new computer infrastructure and equipment for value-added manufacturing.


This support, granted in the form of a $116,260 repayable financial contribution, has been awarded through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program.
